Spectrum News Spotlight - July 27, 2020

While planning a wedding during the pandemic, it is easy to become frustrated with the current regulations in place.  While the regulations are there to keep everyone safe, for many couples, it means the wedding of their dreams may look different.  This is where Curated Love thrives!  In fact, Spectrum News reached out to us to do a story on how we are offering 2020 wedding solutions for couples!

Spectrum News also wanted to chat with one of our couples and we could not wait to have them get in touch with Kate & Carter.  This young couple had to cancel their fully planned, 200-person wedding scheduled for June 2020.  Kate was starting her PhD in Astrophysics at RIT in the fall and wanted to be married before starting that next adventure.  We were so happy to create something just for them.  We also were able to livestream their wedding – an added feature during these unprecedented times!

Our success is supported by the fact that we work with very talented and well-established vendors, so we knew we needed to have them involved for the interview!   We reached out on Monday to all the vendors for the interview on taking place on Friday.  They all jumped in immediately!  They are truly amazing!  Kate & Carter’s wedding was held at Kin Event Space and catered by Root Catering, both owned by Kristin Klock.  She opened her space up for us to host Spectrum and conduct the interview at Kin.  She also provided the charcuterie and champagne seen in the footage – both are included in our packages!

A beautiful and classic theme was chosen to complement the industrial black and white vibe at Kin.  Soft florals in neutral tones added to the elegance.  Part of our process at Curated Love includes developing a carefully thought out theme for each pop-up wedding!

Dawn from Something Borrowed Rentals provided her Trinity Arbor.  She also remained at Kin throughout the interview and took the “behind the scenes” photos.  She has been like a mentor to us since the beginning and it was amazing to have her there, cheering us on!

Another super supportive vendor and mentor has been Wendy from Rockcastle Florist.  With less than a week’s notice, she was able to provide the arbor florals, decorative greenery, and a bridal bouquet.  It has been amazing to watch her take our inspiration and exceed our expectations!

Lanni Maszerowski created a beautiful invitation suite for us to display while Spectrum was interviewing us.  We thought it was important to showcase, as we always include invitations in our pop-up package.  Again, this vendor pulled together something beautiful with very little time!

Last but certainly not least, CAKED provided both a couples cut cake as well as cupcakes for the interview.  Adorned with edible gold leaf, these sweet treats were just as elegant as they were delicious.

We are so grateful that our community has responded so well to our concept.  We cannot wait to create more magic in the future!  Our future dates include 9/12 at Studio 180 & 10/24 at Kin Event Space, 12pm & 6pm slots available.  Custom touches and extended time slots available!
